SLOW FOOD

Good, clean, fair

SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE

Slow Food sees itself as a counter-movement to the highly processed products that often end up in our shopping basket. Slow Food stands for carefully, artisanally produced food that is intended to contribute to a sustainable and enjoyable diet. In Hall C3 at FOOD & LIFE, you will find an area dedicated to the Slow Food movement. We have picked out some of the many highlights for you to see - and taste. You could expect Austrian cheese specialities, Italian delicacies, pasta from the Parmesan loaf and sweet temptations.

THE EXHIBITORS

Tarabao

Tarabao Bio fully embodies the slow food principle: "Good for you, good for the environment and good for everyone along the value chain" is their claim for the healthy snacks they produce: With their nut and dried fruit mixes, they not only supply the majority of unpackaged shops in Germany, they also deliver directly to your home, whether organic pumpkin seeds in dark chocolate with chilli or freeze-dried organic fruit salad.

EatDream

With EatDream, delicious hazelnut products from Piedmont took their place in the slow food sector - the small start-up, founded by three young friends from Alba, wants to bring the authentic flavour of this traditional nut to the world. The hazelnut pastes and creams, such as the tangy, full-flavoured one with sugar and cocoa, are a great alternative to standard supermarket products.

Ecoana

Experience the first highlight of 2024 - the revolutionary tangerine crisps! Thanks to the innovative and environmentally friendly production process, the valuable nutrients are almost completely preserved and the flavour is unbeatably intense. But that's not all - the range also includes beetroot, banana and strawberries. The process also saves up to 90% energy compared to freeze-drying.

Gärtnerei Böck

For more than a century and in the 5th generation, a colourful variety of fruit and fresh vegetables, young plants and organic potted herbs - from A for aubergines to Z, our sugar-sweet tomatoes - have been grown on 70 hectares of open land and 10 hectares of greenhouses at the headquarters of the family business. Natural, seasonal and regional - that's what the family business stands for. Vegetables for all the senses are produced here. The produce is grown with love and passion by 140 employees in an environmentally friendly way, freshly harvested and delivered via short transport routes. Regional, 100% fresh, of the highest quality and excellent flavour straight from the field.
